Jamo D830s Stereo Setup Questions

I recently came across a pair in mint condition and am on the verge of acquiring them.
Had a few questions which you might be able to help me answer:

1. What stereo amp do you recommend I pair them with? What would you recommend? I have my eyes on a Yamaha A-S500 (budget pick) or a Denon PMA-1500RII (for sale on the forums, looks like a decent performer)
2. Would you recommend a separate Subwoofer (I can get a Jamo D8 Sub). Not really a bass head but I do like bass on some tracks.

Both should be able to drive the jamo's. and are comparable specs by wattage. Check if the Denon seller has a remote for it.

That denon if it's fine inside is way better than the Yamaha. Two segment up atleast. The 1500 is in the AS1000 league.

Neither, they will stab your ears and put them in your hands. The d830's need high current high quality amplification or they'll make you regret it. Sent you pm with suggestions.

Ultimately it all boils down to the amount you are willing to spend on the amplification but please also earmark the same for a good source & cables as well as ultimately the synergy between all is of utmost importance. Once you advise the same, can suggestions be given to you. The D830's are very good speakers so hopefully you will be able to do justice to them.
