Dear all, with JBL India signing AR Rahman as its brand ambassador, a lot of interest has been generated. I took a look at their India website and noticed that they are promoting speakers for 2-channel Hi-Fi listening as well (something not common in India). Any comments on these offerings. I have had the opportunity to listen to my brother's American JBL H328 signature series in the past and was not too impressed.

Just a question of latching onto the fame of Rehman & paying him handsomely for it. No great shakes in whats being offered. BTW, Rehman uses Genelec for his 'actual' work ;)

jbl are good speakers but imo there are better speakers out there at the same budget

JBL brands are aimed at the consumer goods market. Rehman's name is Gold.
Nothing wrong with JBL milking it for their marketing plans.

HTiB, computer speakers, car audio as well as Harmon Kardon in the JBL range.

whenever I have spoken to friends who are into high quality audio listening, they've always said that if you are into orchestration, use KEF, if into rock, use JBL or Cerwin Vega. Any comments?
