Anyone on this forum using JBL Stage A190 towers for stereo? If yes, any impressions? Would it be a significant upgrade from Pioneer FS52s?

It depends upon the "upgrade" you're looking for.

If its (1) higher output of bass, (2) as well as more extension, and (3) the ability to go louder and fill a larger space, including (4) the ability to go louder with less power i.e. sensitivity (even an Aiyima T9 can drive the JBL A190 to ear drum rupturing decibels), then yes, the JBL A190 will be a significant upgrade over the Pioneer FS52. For pure SQ however, they're probably at par.

P.s. - it is not advisable to get the JBL A190 unless you have (1) at least 300 sq.ft to fill, or (2) you can pull out your speakers at least 4 feet away from the wall behind it.

Thanks for the insight!

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
