Hi Folks,
Just completed Jean Hiraga - Le Monstre.
It really is a Monster in all aspects.
I have to say the amplifier sounds really really good.
The sound seems effortless and gives the impression of a much higher power amplifier.
Technical Details:
PCB Dimension: 82mm x 101mm.
PCB Thickness: 2mm.
Copper Thickness: 70um (4 times normal thickness)
Capacitor Bank: Alcon 22000uf, 40VDC x 2 / rail (min. config. to start with, though i have provided space in the cabinet to upgrade with 4x22000uf per rail).
Wires used: PTFE, Silver coated strands
VU Meters: Sony, Japan.
Gold Plated Binding post, RCA: MX India.
EMI/RFI Filter: 6A, Elcom.
Toroidal Transformer: 11-0-11, 8A.
Power Supply Type: CRC
Biased Current: 1A and its locked. (Trimpot in the circuit is to correct the DC Offset)
Parts List:
