z2300 speakers making distorted/hissing sound , having this issue since a longtime.. finally opened the satellite speakers front covers and found out that both speaker cones have a crack... i thought there was a issue with woofer.. where can i get this fixed ..can the satellite speakers be replaced ?

after a little research found out the speakers used in the satellites

z2300 has a 2.5" driver, not 3". the 3" is used in the Z680, and swapping the drivers isn't that easy. I think the best alternative is to get a pair of small 2 way bookshelves with around 40W RMS power handling. EDIT: these look like a good option, if the seller is shipping. Impedance is a bit higher, but seems ok otherwise

if you don't play them loud, use rubber cement. I used fevicol (just poured a whole lot of it onto the crack) and it worked decently until i turned up the volume (even then the output was a bit low)
Eventually i bought some Z680 sattelites from a sale here to replace them, and they've been working fine ever since

is it fine if u use fevibond instead of fevicol ?

typically the smaller ones with 4-5" woofers are fine, since I'm guessing they should be driven by a high pass filtered signal.

not sure if fevibond works that way - I just poured fevicol onto the cone area, and spread it out so that when it hardened, there would be a single surface.
