Looking for Home theatre with Optical Output

Hi,
I'm looking for a 5.1ch Home theatre system with optical output. I'm planing to use it for watching HD movies. Please suggest a good system within a price range of 8K max of 10K, also let me know where I can find a demo of the same in Chennai. I was able to find about Edifier DA5000 pro and Logitech Z5500. But these guys are beyond my budget.
Also, can you please give me some gyan regarding optical output, my TV supports optical output and the TV dealer was telling me that a optical out Home theatre will help me a lot.

You want a 5.1 home theater system or a 5.1 speaker system?
You say your TV has optical output and you want a 5.1 channel system with optical output? How would you connect two outputs? One of them must be a input.
Do you want sound from your TV to 5.1 speakers? or sound from your 5.1 channel system to your TV?

I think his TV has Optical out. When the TV has an HDMI input as source, it displays the video and the digital audio is passed on to an AVR (or whatever) via the optical out.
So what he needs (i think) is a HT which has an optical input, which can processes the audio from the TV's optical out.

Hai mate,
as per ur requirements Logi..Z5500 is the only solution for u. I think no other 5.1 speaker system has optical input port available in the market within 15-20k range.

though ur budget will exceed bit more but still go for it. I am using it, it's really good. Moreover it can decode Dolby Digital, DTS & DTS96/24 sound format. U can connect more than one gazet with it at a time.
