Did few more things to organize the living room with AV equipment..
Was using a pair of portable TV stand to hold the Klipsch BS until sometime back.. Since i changed the speakers, though to reuse the stands in a better way..

Yes do try it. Placing a mat underneath of its a down firing or down ported sub, can act as an absorber. Audyssey picks a 2-3db drop with a jute rug in my room. My sub is down firing, down ported pioneer. It helps with getting rid of boominess. Why are the mats placed below the taga subs? should i be doing the same with my sw10?
Cheers.

What rattling noise are you getting due to the spikes?
FM magma has spike feet which would be a good option. Don't remember the price, though. Definitely more expensive than the mat.
