Marantz cd6005 player

Hi,

Is this CD Player available in the market ? I am only getting replies that it's in customs and not cleared yet, etc.

any good equivalent model player from CA, NAD with the feature set of Marantz ?

suggestions welcome.

also , does it play CDs that has scratches ? don't want to invest in a costly player that is too sensitive i.e. not playing scratched discs..

Hi Kaushik,
I have listened to the CD6005 and felt it was very flat/neutral in present. This is a quality that some perceive as a lack of bass. Hope this helps

when the cd player is new, it will play discs in good condition, but once the laser starts ageing, then reading scratched disks will surely be a problem
