Hi guys, Have recently got this Mede8er X3D1000 and have loaded it with a Seagate 3TB HDD..

Created the first 3d BD-ISO Avatar and played on to the player. The quality and 3d depth along with access time for the ISO is very good.

The issue which I am facing is the sound quality I have chosen Spdif to DTS HD 7.1 and HDMI audio to AUTO. Tried changing the Spdif also to Auto and 5.1 but the Sound quality has not improved. Am wondering what can be the reason.

I am sure that there is a sound issue because the same movie when I play via my HTPC sounds good.

Also when I play the same movie through my HTPC my receiver shows DTS-HD-MA whereas in Mede8er it shows DTS only.

ANY HELP ??

In the Audio settings, there is an option for Surround Sound. Set it to TrueHD/DTS HD or Auto. See if that helps.

Better yet, post a screen shot of your audio settings page in Mede8er.

Have tried doing it. doesn't help. still cant figure out if processing is done at receiver both when I connect my HTPC and the mediaplayer why the sound is different..

Any guru who can guide..

Here my settings.

HDMI: HDMI Passthorugh
SPDIF: SPDIF Passthrough
Surround: TrueHD DTSHD 7.1
Force Decode AAC/MP3: On

I only have HDMI connected to the player, no SPDIF connected. No problem bitstreaming to the receiver.

Also, are you running with latest firmware on the player?

I have similiar settings except for mp3 force mode which i read should be kept off. Let me check for a firmware update as suggested
