my first diy subwoofer

It sounds phenomenal .I have heard many subs in different price ranges. And according to me this sub can easily be comparable to a 40k sub while its building cost is half of it I m using it with yamaha rx-v673 av receiver and for front jamo s606

Hi Nick101,

Congrats on your build:thumbsup: Looks great.:)

A few questions:

1. What are the specs of the subwoofer( manufacturer, freq. response, sensitivity, Xmax) ?
2. Have you simulated your setup(box+sub) in any software.? If you have, can you pls post the freq sweep and F3 and the frequency the box is tuned to.?
3. The dimensions of the box and port.?
4. Any reason for making a down firing sub.?

IMHO the sub would have looked great if front fired.

Regards,
Aniket

Yeah true would have looked sick!! :D

I dint had any manufacturers specs . Only that the amp and sub driver is 300watts rms.The box was built according to my place convenience and it was not tweaked with any software just tweaked the length of port and the amount polyfill twice according to my hearing preference. The box is 161916
