Instead of purchasing a subpar 5.1 setup, you might consider investing in a solid 2 channel analogue amplifier and a pair of bookshelves instead. You might then upgrade individual components. I've heard Sony 700, and I didn't really enjoy it.

If you want to keep the setup clean, i.e., wireless is your priority, then you can go for this type of soundbar. But be aware that even the best of bluetooth audio equipment suffer from lags. So I don't know how good the experience is going to be.

Not to mention that you're going to have to plug in each speaker separately anyway.

My suggestion, at this budget, would be to get a good 2.1 speaker set. A good 2.1 provides a graet aural experience (though, I'm not sure how much of an upgrade it will be for you since you're already using Bose). Low cost home theaters might not be the best solution.

I got a home theater last year. My total expense was 62000 for AVR+FL+FR+C. I wanted to complete the setup, so got some cheap speakers for surrounds for 3.5k. And I can tell you, I have rarely heard the surrounds. They come alive every once in a while for 5 seconds, then not a peep for a long time. I don't know if that's just the nature of things or it's because of the cheap speakers I'm using.

Overall, I don't miss it much even if I run my setup in stereo mode. Dialogues are bit clearer in surround because of the center channel, but everything else is almost same.

So I'd recommend go for a wired 2.1 setup. A home theater under 1 lakh is not likely to give great results, mainly because of the price hike of past 2 years. AVR prices have gone up by 60-100% and speaker prices have also gone up by a similar percentage. People here bought Taga Harmony 506 for 24000 and now similar 606 is selling for ~45000. When I was buying last year, Denon X250BT was selling for 32k. People were calling it overpriced then. I didn't got for it eventually as I felt the Pioneer VSX 534 I was getting for 32.5k was a better choice. Now Denon X250BT is selling for ~45k. If an entry level AVR costs close to 50k, how can you hope to build a decent home theater under a lakh.

Finally, if you still want to go for a budget HTIB, you can probably snag a Yamaha YHT-1840 from Reliance Digital for 30-32k. It's a decent piece for the price.

Have a look at Yamaha HTiBs.
Honestly, you should settle here with a simple packaged HT without reading any other responses like building in phased manner. That's mostly a trap inside a deep rabbit hole, you won't get into a state of complete setup in short time, and finally ending up spending lakhs together.. This is my sincere advice.

. . and end up with a much superior system.

Since you are on this forum, so consider it as a start of your rabit hole journey. Sooner or later upgraditis will bite you so be prepared for that and build a strong base

50K for HT without hassle of having AVR,Running through the speaker wires+Stands for speakers, positioning etc etc ,Then Sony 700 RF is the best choice. But if you plan to upgrade then Sony HT might not get good resale value, just for your notice. Atleast AVR and speakers have decent resale value but not the packaged HT these days.

But i got to know from one of my friends that Sony 500RF is best choice for 15*20 room, If you could reach Sony center, they might arrange for Home Demo.In case you feel 500rf is not filling the room, then go with 700rf.

A soundbar based home theater is a great start. For 75k you get this Samsung Q 950a. You will not need an upgrade for a while.

But then do remember that this is nowhere near a 5.1 even with AVR plus passive loud speakers and Sub woofer as soundbars have a distorted sound signatures. Still for a rookie this is good for a good few years.

As per your budget and requirement, I feel that you should audition a good 5.1 dolby atmos system, if you require wireless setup, then search for this- https://amzn.eu/d/csm3T9V

Had made up my mind and went to croma to buy the samsung 950a .the salesperson refused to sell it to me.he said to buy the jbl 9.1. Afte hearing both back to back.the jbl one sounded better while the Samsung one sounded like a radio. However since the reviews for 950a were overwhelming positive I didn't want to take a decision in haste and postponed my purchase

Jbl 9.1 maybe better. JBL is an audio specialists while Samsung is a run of the mill. If you had auditioned, then you are right about the sound quality.

If you want to stick to your budget, you can go for yamaha / pioneer HTiBs. They are good as per budget. In future, you can upgrade the fronts as well keeping the same avr

HTIBs like Yamaha 1840 have plastic sattelite loudspeakers only. It also would sound noisy. A high end sound bar HTIB is always better. If that receiver is used with wooden bookshelves then we are talking. Otherwise its pointless. I have auditioned them before going for Denon 2700 plus Micca speakers and sonodyne .2 all for lesser than 1.5 lakhs. Its like choosing a car. You would walk in to buy an Alto 800 but end up with a Honda Civic!
