My living room is 16feet by 10feet. I am planning to buy a samsung 32inch LED TV. My budget for the music system (speakers & disc player) is a max 20K. I would like to have a 5.1 speaker system, where the Disc player can also play FM.
1. Which model to buy for a max of 20K?
2. Shall I go in for a Blu Ray player, if so of which brand and model?
3. Since I am concealing the wires, which brand of wires shall I buy and any specifications?

these will be easily inside your budget..

Hi Friend,

considering the size of your room and budget, i recomend you to go for Altec Lancing 5.1 speaker ( Model VS3251 ) , iam using it from last 2 years and it sounds awesome for Movies and music and costs around 7 K,

regarding the Blu ray, i suggest you go for a PS3 ( Play station 3 ), you can play games and watch blu ray movies too, and costs around 15 K

there are many models in philips available. i would suggest you to go and demo the same.

also logi z5500 are in less stock as they have released the newer version for the same

you can pick up any dvdp however philips is recommened and you can always change the region code for the same without any mods.

I bought Onkyo S3300 5.1 system from Hypercity vashi yesterday. They offered at 20K after 5k discount. After bargain they gave me a samsung blue ray for 25K. Also reliance digital offered at the same price with LG blueray. You listen to the system before finalising

The Power Of Media Player

You should surely go for a media player which is much better then a blue ray player keeping factors in mind, to mention a few, unless you are a rich man and can afford to buy a one time use disc every now and then for a often there after throw in the dust bin with rare chances of a 2nd or 3rd view, otherwise collecting them as junk for 25 years in a sly for hope to get vintage value etc or trying to sell them after viewing and often being heckled for a shameless low price being offered by the buyer.

Otherwise if you are willing to take often the tiring rounds of library via phone + visits and then not getting the movie you want or the library guy rushing you to see the movie fast, as there is huge demand for the disc, not to forget the thought of how badly the earlier users have handled the disc and you have to mouth that in your player, etc.

About wiring concealing, i know of a good person, who did the job for my Mini Theatre, if you need his details let me know while you can consider to come at my place and have a look at the neat job he has done + you will get a idea how to go about.

buddy please go through the forum. there are numerous thread for the same.
please go through them and understand what all and what purpose stuff are available. if the HT's still does not give you satisfactory outcome through your search please post a new thread with the Ht requirement.

Hi, please stretch budget to 25k and get the onkyo HTS 3400. you can get anything better at this price!!! you might even get it cheaper if you look around a bit. dont even think of others like sony, philips, lg, etc.........they are no match for onkyo. suggest to go demo the onkyo and then decide for yourself.
