I just bought a Honda Civic (it's a 2012 manufacturing).
And just out of a whim I changed the OEM speakers. The dealer was a glib talker and sold me a JBL speaker - honestly I don't know much details.
But turns out the speakers are pathetic. There is no bass there at all. The sound is bright and tinny. Now I have them fitted, and don't know what to do.

I don't wish to change the original HU.

Can someone tell me:

- Which are good speakers compatible with Civic OEM HU. And I like good bass (in the sense it should be filling - not the boom boom kind with an additional subwoofer)- but one that sounds solid in the mains only ( I hope i am able to convey what i need).

- Also, which are good (and decent and honest) dealers in Mumbai whom I can go to?

I am so frustrated with spending 7.5k on the JBL I almost had a sleepless night. Dunno what i was having to have blindly trusted the dealer. Sheesh! I feel like beating myself over it!

PLEASE HELP FAST before I lose more sleep

(I am posting this separate because I couldn't find too many Civic posts here).

Ok, update...turned out that the right hand back-speaker wasnt functioning. Hence the sound was coming very bad. That fixed.

Better.

But still not wholly satisfied.

One more thing i noticed - the FM sounded better than Aux (Linked to my iphone). Why so?

U may be using earphone port of your IPhone to connect with ur car's HU, in this case sound will be bad, instead do the following,
1. Try to connect using iPhone USB cable with ur car HU , if your car HU recognise it as IPod or iPhone, ur probs are solved
2. If above method fails, buy a iPhone's AV out cable ( lot of them on EBay.in), cut the L R RCA plugs, solder a stereo EP connector and use it , you will hear the difference

Thanks...it worked better using USB cable.

But i'd still search for a good speaker ;) But for now, it's much better and I can at least sleep in peace for a while :)
