Hi Sachin,

What is the price for JBL 12" subwoofer driver? (only speaker)
And How much watts? ohms?
I am planning to do DIY subwoofer. Looking for a best driver and amp.
Kindly clarify me the above doubts.
Thanks in advance.

Sachin, What amp is it that they are using for the sub woofer? Why does it have a Usb input? Is it a normal stereo amp? If you are satisfied with it, well and good, but I am not too confident, as the boxes/enclosures with such items are usually below par. How was it in this case? Do you have any pictures of the same?

JBL sub ? for 1800? Can you post a pic or something? Does the thing come with any T/S (electro acoustic)parameters ? be careful ,there are a LOT of fakes around. You might be better off putting together a diy box with a decent car audio sub like an alpine which will run you about 7000k minus amp ,another good bet would be to use drivers made by Peerless india, these are available in Mumbai or use Professional audio drivers,Beyma makes a few good ones and they are available from the distributor in chennai ,I think,B&C also makes nice ones but they are expensive ,but if you execute them right it will probably be the last sub you will ever need (B&C 12BG100 rated at 2000 watts max or go for the incredible BG15).Remember that you will need an amp for the sub that has a crossover like a plate amp if you are not using the LFE out from your receiver or a pro amp which has adjustable gain so as to be able to use the LFE out signal from the Receiver.

Cheers!
