Need suggestions on a good audio setup

Firstly my apologies since I'm still noob when it comes to audio, video etc.
I wanted to have a good audio setup i.e. speakers etc primarily for listening to audio. Currently I have Onkyo 3500 but it sounds good for viewing movies or 5.1 Videos etc. Audio is not satisfactory.
With regards to budget I'm looking for low budget one. So more of entry level. Will be listening mostly to Hindi Songs.
Budget 25k-50k
Any suggestions friends!

If you are looking for a set-up Mostly for Music Then Go with Stereo Speakers and just postpone your HT dream for some time.As entry level HT cannot satisfy both Music and Movies.

Buddy as mentioned I already have Onkyo 3500 which I'm happy to play only Movies etc. I need something only for Audio playback.

Just Add A Whrafs 10.1 or Mercury v1 or MS Mezzo as stereo Mode to the AVR. Turn the Stereo mode for Music and enjoy the Music from BS speakers.

Adding - your budget mentioned for audio is 25-50k. With that price you can have a good stereo setup. The quality of listening music through AVR has always a difference compared to pure stereo setup.
As other experience 3500 is good for movies. So you can go the stereo setup way if you want pure music!

Check out this thread http://www.hifivision.com/amplifiers/47731-mistral-hybrid-amp-dac-cdp.html. I have heard this set up. The amp is VFM. You can add a pair of budget BS as suggested above. If you can stretch your budget a bit more add the DAC also and you will have a near audiophile quality system.

My apologies but what does BS mean?

Can you give more details on the difference between listening through AVR as compared to pure stereo setup. My Onkyo 3500 current setup would be AVR based is it?

BS is short form of Book Shelf speakers and FL is Floor Standing speakers.

AVR is specially designed for HT Channel So they might not sound Music compared to a Stereo Amplifier.
