being a railwayman transporting is free for me.
which one is best?
normally watching malayalam channels,sports
kids prefer cartoon
weekly 3/4 hd/brrip movies through usb
videocon hd dth preferring after the purchasing of tv.
my budget is max 46k

Panasonic 42XT50 is the the best and i think price in hubli is 1k less than bangalore. So you can buy there.
You get additional internet features like browser support etc. And 3 year panel warranty.

Plasma TV is great choice of you. and i think you should purchase from your nearest showroom. if you are getting more difference in price then you can purchase from that place.

thank u all. i am sticking on pana xt 50. mostly by dec 15th i will purchase

You have quoted 46.5k with 1-3d glass.well there is a printer/ht offer was there, whether it is included in the price ask your dealer,if you do not want you can negotiate to reduce the amt.some members purchased 50xt50 @ 50k without any glass/offer.

i think he purchased 50x....not xt..
anyway 50x at 50k is a super deal.a 3d is not mandatory.50k 50 inch plasma is a super deal anyway

Panasonic TH-P42XT50T is the 15th generation plasma, and are far more reputable in terms of reliablity over their Korean counterparts.

My Samsung plasma PS51D450 panel backed out on me after only 599 hours of display time despite their advertising the panel life for 100,000 hours. My equipment is connected through a Leonics 3600 joules surge protector plus a Syndrome 850V 320W UPS with almost constant input-load power supply (220V - 224V).

No more Koreans or Chinese for sure.

Hi ravin, I do agree that Panasonic tends to offer better plasmas since they have been in that business for a long time. At the same time, I am not sure if we can generalize Samsug plasmas as less reliable. In fact, there are many instances where non-samsung flat panels (be it Plasma or LED) have gone bad in less than 1000 hours of usage. I am not suggesting all the flat panels do fail. Compared to CRT, the failure rate of the flat panels is high. So that is nothing to do with manufactures from Japan or Korea or frrom any other country for the matter.
I would also like to bring a point where Samsung plasmas have almost come on par with panasonic plasmas in 2012. Earlier they were lagging panasonic by a huge margin. I also heard in many forums where people/experts claim that Samsung plasma E8000 (high end) is close to Panasonic VT50, but their low end/mid-range models are still lagging behind the low end/mid-range models of Panasonic. This is due to the fact that Panasonic is offering the same level of PQ across it's models.

GO for LG PA4520 with eyes closed if you want to watch malayalam channels with decent quality on a large screen 42 incher. Sammy and Panasonic will fail you there.

Point to be noted Your Honour.

Still holdin' myself back from buying the Panny TH-P65VT50T for approximately USD 2,700 (at local prices) with 3 years warranty. Lot of money for a large screen.

I suggest If possible then go for 42UT50D as this one is the minimum cost Full HD Plasma for 42inch display. HD channel looks awesome when compared to any SD and in next 2 years many HD channels will be available.
