I have just joined your community. Hello to all. My old system fried . Buliding up a new one. I have shortlisted MARANTZ PM7003 & NAD C 326BEE. I basically listem to rock & roll, jazz, instrumental and bollywood songs. Please suggest the amplifier. Iuse a DIY floorstanders with built in subwoofers.

Hi:

Welcome, have a great time. It'll be nice to know the nature of your DIY speakers, are they, bright, warm, etc., and based on that we'll be in a position to suggest an amp from your choice.

:)

They are quite bright with heavy midrange (unfortunately).

Well, then you can forget the Marantz. The NAD 326 will be the right amp for your speakers; the 326's warm signature will gel well with the brightness of your speakers for a fatigue-free listening. But, audition both amps with your speakers before taking the plunge.

:)

i agree with vinod on the nad and the audition. its ultimately upto you and your ears. audition it and see what you like best, esp since you've already done some homework and narrowed it down

Hi all,
I finally bough NAD C 326 BEE.
The connectivity options - sub 1 & 2 out, 12 volt trigger etc. just suit my requirement.
I am having a great time now.
Thanks to all for their views.
Sanjay.

Congrats on your purchase, Sanjay!

Shriram
