New Receiver from US

Hi Guys

I m the new kid (not so much though) on the block.
Need a quick help,i am in the process of getting one Receiver from US to pair it with two floowstanding speakers.
I would like to buy Jamo s606 (or pls suggest any alternate in that budget range- It cost 22K per pair in mumbai.)
Can u help me which receiver to buy .marantz/denon/onkyo/yamaha.
Also my listening would be 80% music(Hindi Songs + Retro Rock) and 20% movies.
Kindly help.

You don't need a A/V receiver, but a Stereo Amplifier since you are 80% into music.

+1. Buy a budget 5.1 AVR and a Stereo Amp

If buying from US, There is lot of used stuff out there in EBAY and Audiogon. You will get them for less than 50% of the original cost. There are better Integrated amps than AV receivers.

More so because you like music more.

You will get very good integrated amps used.

If I were you I would go that route.

Check out Marantz, Denon, Yamaha, Cambridge Audio, and many more depending on your budget.
