Wanted to caution you ... Do NOT plug in the AC Charger unless the 2 Rechargable batteries are connected !

Without the batteries connected, the DC voltage could be very high .... potentially damaging some of the components.....

I used a hot screw driver to punch holes in the plastic.Looks shabby I know

Maybe, but I'm doubtful that I could do much better! On the whole (no pun intended ) it looks good.

There may well be more appropriate threads, but many of the HFV ODAC buys made their own boxes: check out the ODAC DIY thread, you might find it useful.

When single-boxed with the ODAC, the ODAC doesn't the ODAC fit in the battery space? Maybe there is a modification to the 02 power circuitry?

Don't know about the modification required to assemble the ODAC on the o2 but you're right it fits in the battery space.

Thad, you are correct .... My bad.

I checked the Ckt diagram. The DC is regulated by 3 terminal regulators, so no concern at all, even if the batteries are removed and the Unit run off AC.

IndianEars, I can't even read a circuit diagram. I just happened to know that about the o2/ODAC

Maybe one day, but out of the other metros so far I've only made it to Hyderabad and Delhi, for one brief visit each.
