I remember bidding for a Rega cdp on ebay usa and someone was on auto bid so whatever i did the next time the page refreshed i was not the highest bidder. Tried this in last few mins and could react in time. Also this way you tend to go way beyond your budget unless ofcourse you know you want the product at any cost
Now i understand how some people specially in US earn a living by selling items on ebay for others.

Wow, some experience that must have been. Yes, these auctions can be fun, but we need to be careful not to overbid.

Not really Rikhav, most people bid in the last moment so as to not increase the price beforehand. Some put a max auto bid and go to sleep. I always sit at the last moment and have found the best deals. Also, there is a listing fee that ebay charges and also paypal charges a fee for withdrawing your money, so I doubt it people would try bidding with another id and being stuck with the item as well as having lost money. Not sure though, you may be right.

Hmm. We just bought a part of that speakers (two tweeters) for 60 GBP. Anyway, I offered INR 15k including delivery.
