Onkyo HT s3400 Owner's thread

I choose Audio as Optical in TV and as well as Receiver. When I select the Audio as Optical in TV , It shows me Dolby Digital enabled. (otherwise its greyed out in TV)

I have a doubt whether Fire TV supports Optical Audio or not ? In Fire TV Audio settings, only Dolby Digital over HDMI is there which means it will send Audio and Video over HDMI only.
Is my understanding correct??

Hello,
I recently upgraded my TV to kodak 4k. I am trying to connect my TV to Onkyo receiver. When I select arc hdmi port connected to TV I get 5.1 surround sound. Where as I connect a optical out from TV to receiver, I do not get 5.1. Is it something to do with TV not supporting 5.1 through optical?

Also if anyone knows how to do level calibration in onkyo 3400 please let me know.

Can you suggest the speaker upgrade for Onkyo 3400?
The stock speakers are good but wanted to upgrade for better experience.
