Optoma HD141x HD / Full 3D

Hi Friends,

Exactly after 2 months Amazon.com refunded my Import duties. Initially the customer care guy was reluctant but finally done by some Senior. Previously they also refunded Shipping Charges and gave some other discounts. I have purchased Optoma HD141X and 4 Pack of SainSonic Zodiac 904 Series Active Shutter Glasses. Total cost for me Rs.41699.

IMO that's a steal deal. Thank you guys for letting us know the tricks of getting shipping and duty refund and need to mention Amazon.com Customer service is excellent. Will always recommend Amazon...

I will post my HT build very soon. Just completed my Curve screen with Pine wood.

Regards,

Samrat

The items in bold is required.
You may need ceiling/wall mount for the projector if you plan to fix it on ceiling or wall. Also hdmi cable is needed.

If you intend to watch movies from hdd then strike off blu-ray player from the list, and include htpc / media player. please search the threads on the same. 3d rips also can be played on htpc. I'm using rpi2.
where you located?

For the sound, you need avr (amplifier) and speakers.
You can play films as you are playing now if the projector has composite input( assuming no hdmi out on dvd player)
I fear that your movies (assuming less than 720p quality) played on projector, it wont look good.
Better start a new thread stating your requirements and budget, then FMs can help you more.
Also read through the threads which are similar.

I was doing the same(copying files to pen drive and connect to dvd then to my old crt tv. but now changed.

+1 for HD26.
I have no experience with the HD141x but based on the various complaints listed in this thread, I can assure you that HD26 dont have them. Also the white finish of the projector appear elegant and blends to the ceiling easily :)

Hi Guys,
I recently purchased HD141x during my US visit. This is my first experience with projector so i have nothing to compare with but so far it has been a great experience.

Regarding my 3D experience. I have noticed that if the screen resolution is less, the 3d depth is much more and immersive. I am using powerDVD and i was playing the IMAX Under the sea. powerDVD changed the resolution from 1920 x 1080 to 1400 x 720(don't remember the exact values) something on its own, while playing it. The 3d effect was amazing. However, on some other occasions the resolution didn't change and stayed higher and the 3d depth was very low and not much noticeable.
Can anyone explain like how the resolution is determined and how it impacts for 3D viewing. Also, what resolution i should use, i always thought higher the resolution the better?

Advice for HDMI cable(FHD,3d) for length about 30-35 feets. I have heard there is quality degrade when length is big? how big pls clarify.
Also, Do you advice to have 25 ft hdmi cable + 5/10 ft extension cable? I am considering BlueRigger CL3 cables.
Note: Cable need STB/Player to Projector (optoma 141x)..

Hi guys new optoma hd141x owner here. I'm running a 120" screen and I'm convinced the picture isn't as good as when I set it up closer on a table yet I've seen videos on YouTube of crystal clear images with the same projector anyone else running 120 inch screen ? I find anything less than 1080p is just really pixely. I find the 3d very good with per gear glasses off amazon but do find if the action is very fast moving it's very hard to focus is this normal
