Congratulations!! just want to know how long did the delivery from Amazon took. And, what is the throw ratio, i.e. what is the screen size you are getting from the distance that the projector is placed.?
Hey, and if you don't mind may i ask which is the ImaxBd you have mentioned in your post?
Thanks
Thanks Supersteel
Had ordered from newegg and it took exactly 9 days (including the weekend in between)
From 10 feet I am getting a 96 inches image. My screen is the most basic of all basic screens. Its a 7 Ft X 4 Ft Map type screen. I bought this because 7.5 Ft is the maximum width my current room's front wall can afford.
About flexible movement, as you know, the more we move back the projector the image is bigger. The zoom at any distance for this model is adjustable manually, and is limited by the dial on the projector itself. It is however my guess that because of its value for money (VFM) pricepoint, optoma has intentionally kept it pretty limited on this model. No digital zoom exists for this purpose. The one listed as zoom on remote is just for zooming in on the image and not for initial fitting of the 16:9 image on the screen.
From my current 10Ft distance the dial is
zoomed in at Max position. Any more forward movement, the resulting output will be smaller than 96 inches and no adjustment can fix that.
I can move the set backward upto a maximum of 1 feet and the dial can be
zoomed out at max position on the other side to retain the 96 inch image as it is. Any more backward movement, the image will project outside my screen borders and no adjustment can fix that. Hope you got the idea.
Note : Like it is with any projector, at any distance, focus has to be adjusted accordingly.
The two 3D titles that I have are IMAX under the Sea 3D and Imax Hubble 3D. Both are absolutely outstanding documentaries for 3D purpose.
Anything unclear or any further detailed What's, how's and Why's keep it coming. I am here to share anything that I can answer.
