Optoma HD141x HD / Full 3D

is it still possible to order it through Amazon.com? I get an error saying that the item is not deliverable to Delhi, India even when I use the "Ship to India" option while searching for the product on Amazon.com.

Also, any idea what is the street price of this Projector?

And , if I don't need 3D, what will be my other options? My budget is 80-90K for the entire Projector+Screen+ any associated paraphernalia... Lower priced the better :)

It was shipping to India until yesterday. They have launched HD142x just today and with that both - HD141x and HD142x - are showing not deliverable to India. Maybe they'll correct it soon. I was waiting for launch of HD142x and seems lost a way to order HD141x too, for now :(

Can somebody who has ordered any projector from Amazon.com recently, post the breakdown of charges i.e. Price + Shipping & Handling + Import Fees Deposit?

Yes, that's the price. Right now, as per Google 599.72 Euro equals 44556.44 Indian Rupee. So effectively it will cost up around 47-48k as dipdawiz said.
Currency conversion and markup charges being extra.

This price includes Import Fee Deposit as well so I see no hidden charges:
Items EUR 420,95
Estimated Postage & Packaging EUR 45,03
Import Fees Deposit EUR 133,74
Estimated Order Total EUR 599,72

I would just say if you can spend a little extra - choose Priority shipping instead of Expedited shipping at checkout. It'll cost 10-20 euros more. As I ordered the same projector 2 months back with Expedited shipping - over a month passed and package did not arrive. The package was lost somewhere. Amazon refunded me the amount and I reordered with Priority Shipping and it arrived within 3 days.

Note: Amazon offers Amazon Currency Converter as well - using which you'll be charged directly in INR. So, in case you need to get a refund you'll get back the exact same money in INR. Though Amazon's currency conversion markup charges are a little higher.

But if you chose to directly pay in Euros and allow your bank to do currency conversion. Then it'll be cheaper. But in case of refunds - you would have to bear currency conversion charges. :)

Thanks so much for such a detailed explanation :) and this cleared all my doubts .

Since I am going to order from Amazon.de,will there be a difference in power socket.I read all the previous posts of this thread and most of them have ordered from Amazon.com which has US pin and will there be a difference if I order from Amazon.de.I don't have any idea about step up or step down transformer and I hope I don't need all these for this projector . Friends pls give your opinion.

I tried to make the payment using credit card and in the final step there was only one option as place your order and not place your order and pay which I normally find in Amazon.in .I clicked that link but order was not placed...as it didn't asf for cvv number too.Now the order shows in the cancelled order. When I try to place it again there is a message that indicates that this is a duplicate order as an order already exists. This is confusing

No need to worry.
1) Germany (like most Europe and India) has 220V supply. So any electronic sold there will work in India. You wont need any step up transformer. EU pin will fit your normal Indian sockets.
2) Projectors (including HD141x) are generally universal power supply compatible i.e. they support 110-220V. Whether you buy it in US or Germany - it should work in India. Just pin type difference.

No ideas. It worked for me easily. They would charge your CC when your order is confirmed and preparing for dispatch. But it is already cancelled in your case. As you're unable to reorder better drop them a mail.

Thanks for the reply.I tried to place the order again and now it is in the placed order section but didn't ask for cvv number and money wasn't deducted either.Don't know whether the order is placed or not.Just checked -Got the confirmation email for the order and the net amount is Eur 612,59 but money not yet deducted and Cvv number wasn't asked, then how can they deduct the money.I am confused...Already sent a mail to their customer care.

You mean CVV number? or Verified by Visa (VBV) password/OTP? International payment gateways won't ask for VBV. And you must've added CVV number when adding a new card.

They'll deduct amount from your CC when your order is confirmed by them and is preparing for dispatch/ready to ship.

I am already a member in Amazon.in and I am using the same account details in Amazon.de.I have already added credit Card in amazon India and made several transactions too.I was asked to enter the cedit card number before placing this order and I did that.CVV was not asked.Usually in Amazon india, every time I make a purchase CVV will be asked and OTP will be sent.I came to know that OTP will not be sent for international payments but won't they ask CVV too? Earlier when I tried it was in the cancelled orders section but now it is in the orders placed section and got confirmation mail too.

International transactions does not work the way it works in India. They don't need cvv more than once when u added the card or otp or any other verification... That's why all credit card fraud from india would have international transaction. The card would be charged only when they prepare your item for dispatch or at the time of dispatch.
