pathetic servicing from Sonodyne

Fully agree as I also find these things (delays) annoying. But do consider that in India it is not like the western world. You can not return a product with no questions asked. Legal process takes a lot of time / effort so in the end you are the mercy of the dealer/manufacturers. Consumer court decisions are bought. So in the end in India Consumer is not the king.

In this instant case the MD of the company has talked to the person concerned and I do hope that the resolution will take place. Btw I am in no way connected with Sonodyne just wanted to share my experiences of India as I have felt it.

Actually, there are very few shops in "West" (My experience is UK, other European countries and USA all have different standards, processes and procedures) where you can do that, although it would not be unusual for a new faulty product to be replaced or refunded without too much question. Nowhere is perfection to be found; I have experienced a hifi warranty repair taking weeks, and the car trade is infamous worldwide but
So in the end in India Consumer is not the king.
Nor will they be until they take the crown themselves. One day, this "goods, once sold...," stuff will get knocked on the head because people will refuse to buy on that basis. Same with warranty having to be taken up with the manufacturer, not the retailer. All that is asked is the the relationship be a fair and equal one. The retailers and manufacturers get the money, after all and
the MD of the company has talked to the person concerned
said MD still has that cash in his company's bank account.

Probably the internet will, eventually, change all this. Penalties imposed by consumer courts may help, but may not help nearly so much as a string of complaints found by Google. It is better if the business community realise this before they loose so many customers they can no longer survive.

Google is utterly unforgiving --- and it does not recognise national "traditions."

Long Live the Customer! Without the customer the business cannot live long.

(Yeah! My bit of "activism" :) )

Reviewed the complete thread and its one month; still there is no update from Sonodyne and the problem has not been resolved. But it seems like "waiting to cash a post dated cheque" (not sure when it will cash).
I was thinking to order Sonus 2605 V3 from HiFi Mart but now I realize it would be my biggest mistake of life. "Your money in my pocket" then who cares...... this is going on. This policy doesn't survive for long term.

MANU, you are great and have strong patience level. But hope for the best.

Not entirely fair. They are talking to Manu --- just not resolving the problem.

But there is no use of talking, it is not sufficient. Every time talking start from 1st day of week and at the end of weekend... again postponed on Monday, then same thing on Monday.

Any brand can survive in the market with two policies.
1. Very Good product (very rarely required services, no customer service hassles) can trust for lifetime durability
2. If Product Issues then providing Amazing/Quick/Hassle Free Customer Services. I have seen many brands who pick and drop and never bother to customer, if it is under warranty; provide sealed pack piece if issue occurs again (and all are within 5-7 working days).

As per my "rant" a couple of posts ago, I agree with you entirely, but some suppliers go further than bad service: they don't even talk about it. My worst experience is with banks: complaints are totally ignored and unanswered, or the appropriate person is "in a meeting," or, unashamedly, just too busy to talk to little, unimportant, customer me!

So, on a scale of zero to resolution, talking may not score high, but at least its a start.

Update - Our subwoofer and amp have arrived at Banglore Service Center. They will deliver it personally but on next Tuesday only. As per them these have been thoroughly tested in their R&D before sending. Now the wait continues.

Wonderful statement!! @manu/@baijuxavior you guys deserve what came to you, please stop complaining!

These things can happen to anyone. There are many Sonodyne users here but only we have posted complaints here so far. I would like to take the matter as an odd case. Communication with Sonodyne was satisfactory, but the only problem is with the delay in solving the issues.

Come on man cut these gentlemen some slack. You and I would have done the same if we were in their shoes. It's been close to 2 months and they are waiting it out patiently. One must applaud their perseverance after having had issues they are still ready to settle this whole fiasco with sonodyne ambically.

Peace :).

I guess he was being sarcastic to the post he quoted ?

Well, clearly my attempt with sarcasm failed...

This happens when the sarcasm is thinly veiled:D
On the other hand the person who said " we all get what we deserve" may have meant - if you buy Sonodyne, this is what you get, so dont complain....or am I reading sarcasm in a statement where there was none?!:D

Any which way, I sympathize with the two who are patiently waiting for a resolution to their problem, and Sonodyne should realize that they are doing their own image more harm, by letting this drag on.......

People memory are short and this will be forgotten within a week or probably a month and they will be back in Business of fraud. Once the money is made no Indian manufacturer will even care for you unless there are very high stakes which i think will not be in this case. Let all FM hope for the best and hear some good news at the end and prove me wrong about what i know about our peoples mentality.
