pathetic servicing from Sonodyne

People memory are short and this will be forgotten within a week or probably a month and they will be back in Business of fraud. Once the money is made no Indian manufacturer will even care for you unless there are very high stakes which i think will not be in this case. Let all FM hope for the best and hear some good news at the end and prove me wrong about what i know about our peoples mentality.

Pls do not Label "everyone" as fake . There are some manufacurers IN INDIA who gave fantastic service....

DAVE ( Denom) got a replacemement woofer when It was damaged in transit ..it was courior fault but Telome supported....
I heard from many Pulz users that pulz service their amps post warentee ,they do not care whether it is second or third hand..

Still waiting patiently and hoping for the best.

Manu, It's hard to find these kind of issues (manufacturing problem/servicing issues/need repair) for any other international speaker brands. The problem has occurred because of poor quality control of Sonodyne. And "The Icing On The Cake" is their customer service.

I am not at all labeling any one as fake and infact have asked to prove me as wrong. Thanks for bringing to my notice about Denom's case. My point was unless the stakes are high these support issues may not be equal for all.
 
all forum members we are here to discuss about audio and our tastes regarding it and we are from the same family (audio).
we are all music lovers.

I think there is some misunderstanding for a joke posted by our elder brother.
 
The long wait is over. The Sonodyne South Regional Manager Mr.Sabu personally brought a brand new amp to my home and we tested it and found it to be working fine. No humming and the sound quality is excellent with the sonodyne book shelves. The sound is a little bright and the bass is adequate for a small room. As per my request they have also removed the feature which mutes the amp if no signal is received for more than 2 minutes.

I'm putting my stereo setup for sale as I need cash for my Sony 40HX750 3DTV. First I thought of selling the amp alone, but without the amp the speakers will be left unused. So I'm selling both as a combo. Please wait for the FS thread.

Yes. As per the company it has been thoroughly tested and send to the Banglore office with direction to open it only infront of the customer. Same case with Manu's subwoofer. I'm happy with their service. The only gripe I can think of is the time delay in resolving the case.

I will post a review of the subwoofer soon.
 
Pretty sure that the company shall take these cases in their 'learning cycle' and summarily reduce their response time to 's.o.s' calls. This is exactly what customers, be it anyplace, look for. Assurances followed up with further reassurances, in the midst of an unforseen happening. It goes a long way for the betterment of any business.

Believe me, quite a big section here would take 'pride' to own something great, made in this land!

first of all I am saying about the build quality its excellent.
the humming has gone.
the gain of roarr 210 is reduced too much.so you have to increase the gain of your avr a lot.
I tested some of my hd movies that I am allways using for testing the subwoofer
resident evil 4-lots of drum sounds I allways love (I think its synthetic but still a pleasure to listen)
transformers revenge of the fallen-foot sounds of big giant robots
watchmen-docter manhattan's killing scene
shakira live-foot drum
swades-swades song
rabne banadi jodi-song

this is my first impression
1.I noticed there is some change in the low end response of the subwoofer
I liked the sound of tranformers and re 4 better now but for watchmen it lacked the punch.

2.sound pressure level is reduced than my old roarr 210.(may be due to the wrong setting in the avr;already mentioned about the reduction in gain of the new roarr 210)

I will post a detail review with pics of my whole system and subwoofer soon.

I purchased a pair of Sonus 1501 BS during their discount period in Jnuary, and my friend purchased their Sia 310 and same speakers. The left channel of the amp started acting up in a couple of days, we could hear faint crackling noise coming through. We swapped the speakers and determined it was actually the amp. We called Sonodyne, and they replaced the amp with a new boxed one, no questions asked. They did not even check the actual amp for problems. Now that IS good service, really good, I am hoping that we are not an exception here and their service generally is good.
This will be a real pleasure if they can keep up the good work with good service and continue to produce decent products at such affordable prices.

The failure rate for this amplifier seems rather high. Why should it even happen in the first place. I believe a similar problem has impacted another forum member. Its a good thing that they are replacing the product. For a manufacturer that has been into audio for over 25 years, problems like these should be non existent. There is still a worry of long term reliability.
