Philips turntable needle

Hi all,

I’m a total newbie as far as turntables are concerned. I’ve always wanted to own one and yesterday my dream came true when my FIL handed me down his Philips turntable and 22 LPs. The records sound very nice and are in perfect condition.He mentioned the needle is very old and needs replacement. My question is, where can I get the needle? The turntable doesn’t have any model number on it do I’m attaching photos. If any of you can identify what needle I need to buy that’d be a great help.

That looks like a Philips International High Q Record Player. I thought I saw a few Philips cartridges (needles) for sale on Olx, Philips GP 215 Cartridges.

Welcome to our forum. Your TT is Philips hi q international and it has ceramic cartridge. It really sounds very nice. If you have relatives in Kolkata, you may tell him to fetch the stylus from Wellington square,kolkata for only 200 rupees.

You may go to the shop of Md. Murtoza or Md. Illius. Both of them sell preowned tts, stylus, vinyls etc.Don't forget to bargain before buying any stuff. Mr Murtoza's shop is by the side of the road ( in front of a hardware store and Md. Illius's shop is housed at the first floor of a multi storied building adjacent to kamalalaya.
