Hi,
Last week I picked up a pair of Pioneer Pax 12A coaxial speakers. These are 12 inch drivers with massive alnico magnets and built in first order series crossover. Very efficient 100+dB.
The cabinets they were in are pretty big.I have to find a way to sneak them home.
I heard them at the previous owners place and they sound pretty good. The vintage Pioneer drivers borrow design ideas from their western counterparts of that period and are very well built. These drivers are the forerunners of the present day TAD/Exclusive division of Pioneer.
