Pioneer VSX- 322 and VSX - 521

Hi,

I'm using VSX-522 nearly two months. It is absolutely value for money. Also, it's a latest entry level AVR from Pioneer. You can get it around 16K.

The models you have mentioned are outdated.

I have a more recent Pioneer VSX-1122-K. Cost me 40K with bill and warranty. I am very happy with the choice though it was scary at the beginning as I made a blind buy. Power output is probably the lowest in the segment and this does show with my PSB Image B15 speakers as the volume needs to be cranked well over 50% to get decent output. What goes in its favor though is the sound quality in stereo and for a receiver it is excellent. My purpose of buying this receiver was to take care of movie watching and music till I can afford a dedicated stereo system. I rank the movie abilities superior to music. The PSB's turned out to be a good match with this Pioneer too. The mid range is excellent and I don't really miss a dedicated stereo setup.

I highly recommend the current line up of Pioneer receivers. It may not have the power to bring down the house but the sound quality is excellent.
