I saw today (12.12.2010) the same AVR in alfa for 15500. Also they had VSX-520 for 14500

Also Denon AVR-1508 was available for 15500

Correction:

VSX-420 for 14500
VSX-520 for 15500

I mistyped 520 for both earlier. Thanks to Mr. Hemant for pointing out the mistake.

And one Denon ( No do not remember ) with ONLY DTs and no Hi Def sound for 12 K only! ( Grey)

So it is great price better than some secondhand..


Any onkyo or Yamaha ( apart from 465) in grey ,with Hi def sound around 15-18 k? Where in Muimbai??

Alfa generally does not entertain customers on phone. If you are from Mumbai, pay a visit and I feel its worth it. Its located at Irla, close to both Andheri and Vile Parle station.

Alfa does not sell US version ..BTW there was nomstock in Alfa. Bought this from Sound Out ,heera Panna for Rs 15500....Need to set up

Congrats @ Hemant .... I got my Pio 519 for 20 k with B&W about a year back. 520 would virtually be the same, with the addn of 1.4 feature.

Quite a good AVR , very VFM, with simple controls and with "features that end up being used in the long run". Very very good for music and near-excellent for movies.

I have pioneer 519, although it looks exactly same like its successor 520, there are pronounced difference between these two. I have checked the feature list, apart from decoding capabilities of HD audio streams, it have DD Plus (also the presence Dolby prologic IIz), and few other DTS featues which are absent from 519. Audio streaming via bluetooth is also there.
Overall, great buy, Congrats Hemant (He is a pioneer guy) :clapping:
