PIONEER VSX-522K buying advice plz

I have come across a deal on PIONEER 522K AVR for 12K.
I am planning to use this with HTIB (Monoprice 8247 5.1 speakers).
I need advice on on this AVR? Is it worth looking?

Is this for a new purchase or its someones pre owned amp.

I am also wanting to build an HT setup for my room, and am on a tight budget.

This is pre owned but not used for more than a month. I will be checking this one over the week end. If I decide not to buy, will certainly let you know. It is local pickup in Pune.
