Pioneer VSX 922

I have newly bought a Pioneer vsx922 and kindly request your suggestions for which speakers will match them to get a audiophile quality sound.

My majority would be listening to the music with thunderous BASS and treble,am also confused will i get BASS when i play with a LR floor standers or i need to hook up a powered sub woofer to get the BASS effect.also let me know if i need to setup the Auto calibration mike to adjust the audio for the listening.

I kindly seek the experts advise on the above query

1.you must need to buy atleaset 100 watts speakers or above @ 8 ohms...
2.with subwoofer will do best bass effect than floor stand speaekrs..
3.pioneer is bit aggressive sound , so buy speakers with bit soft type of sound reproductions( i think boston a26 and 5.1 set up will do best for pioneer)

Thanks for your suggestions and please let me know the Sub woofer brand and what 5.1 setup speakers i need.(the mentioned bosten a26 are only LR speakers)

buy same brand and same series speakers and subwoofer for best integrated results.. i am not sure your sound interest,it`s better direct demo listening will clear your doubts..

for me , front bookshelf speakers(6 inch) ,5 inch center speaker, 5 inch surround speaker,10 inch active subwoofer is enough for upto 17*17 room size.. over than room size , you will considered bigger speakers and subwoofer.

For bookshelf I would recommend Tannoy Mercury V2, for Floor Standers look for mercury V4. I have auditioned V2) with Pioneer vsx-921 and it rocked !!
In fact I watched the Genesis Live @ Wembley concert...sound of this set up was awesome. Now V2 is peak 100 watts power, looks neck to neck wattage with AVR (105 I guess), but believe me u'll be delighted.

More than speaker Watts, Sensitivity is important to consider....

Sonodyne Sonus 2605 are 89db efficient.... Pioneer VSX 922 should be ale to drive them comfortably....

First thing is you have bought a Grey Market product. Now for speakers I would suggest you to go for Andrew Jones series in Pioneer which is an excellent choice or Go for a good set of Pioneer Tower.
