Planning to buy Onkyo TX-SR 608

Hello Friends,

I am planning to buy Onkyo TX-SR 608 from USA using Borderlinx. However, I have jeard from people about the problem of voltage switching from 110v to 220v.

1. Does anyone on this forum have an experience of buying AV receiver from US using borderlinx? (I will trying this for the first time, hence little sceptical)

2. How has been anyone's experience about connecting StepDown transformer to convert from 220V to 110V? If it is a good option, where should I buy this converter from?

Many ppl have us equipment which they run using a step down trfr. I think gnkapadia bought his 706 via borderlinx.
