Pogo Plug - POGO -B01 To Music Player

As per older forum posting ( I think it was GeorgeO's - not able to track) i acquired POGOplug Pogo B01 (in horrible pink colour - it was cheaper!)
Something like this

Checked only once it is working

Now want to convert it into music player.also a NAS on my home network.

There are number of posts on net but CAN I GET ANYTHING WRITTEN IN PLAIN ENGLISH?

I am linux novice and frankly not able to understand some steps.

Is there any software which will run straight off the thumb drive.

Or any easy to understand guide?

I want to convert it into music player ( playing music through connected HDDs) - and connecting a DAC directly to one of the USB ports,

Planning to use my android tablet / laptop in wi fi as display.
Also want to use it as NAS.

now is that possible or i am too ambitious???hyeah:hyeah:hyeah:
