Hi all,

How would Polk RTiA3 used as center pair with Polk RTiA7s as front? Or have anyone tried using BS for centers? I am ready to buy an AVR, most probably Denon X2000. I have Tsi200 and PSW110 and will get the A7 very soon. I am actually looking at a 3.1 setup right now. If the BS is not a good option for center, then I will buy a CSiA4 now and use the Tsi200 as surrounds later.

You are better off with a dedicated center channel speaker as it is specifically designed to handle movie dialogues....

ok.. thanks. no RTiA3 then!

:D .. If you had already owned RTiA3 speaker, experimenting yourself with that as center speaker would be a good idea....Otherwise, getting the matching center is better.

BTW why do you think RTiA3 would be better than dedicated center channel speaker..

Was doing some reading.

I did follow the suggestion for SW (raising them) mentioned by the same FM and I have to say, the sound has become completly different. There is more punch (ok.. a little at least ) but the boominess is certainly gone.
