Projector Buying Suggestions Needed

1. Yes, it will work with Indian voltage without adopter

2. Acer uses Osram bulb, which is a 3rd party supplier. You can get the bulb easily in India. For acer, the bulb replacement is a cartridge and can be done by user. Download the user manual and you will know what I meant.

I was also in the same boat, my choice was Benq710st. But for a much lesser price you get full 3D, so shifted to acer.

Cool !!! That would be great then .
We can save around 20k.

But, I need to work hard to convince parents at home to buy it online from an international seller. You know ... skeptical parents :ohyeah: ( They ask me, what if someone sweeps the money from your account as you are sharing all the details  , what if you pay and the product doesn't come home ). Need to address all those apprehensions and then buy it online

I have almost finalized the Epson TW-550 but this DLP vs LCD topic is making me nuts.
Majority of reviews highlight that DLP is better for Movies but has RBE.
Can someone tell me which one to go for DLP vs LCD ?
I am considering the Benq W770ST/W750 in DLP

Epson TW-550 vs Benq W770ST?

Please help ! I want to buy this weekend .

I would recommend 770ST, takes away placement issues if any and is a latest offering from Benq. The service for Benq India is good even if you purchase PJ from abroad. If you are okay with 720p then go for it.

So yesterday i took the demo of TW-550. Liked it kind of. Had to see the demo from just 5ft due to space shortage at the demo place, so pixels were somewhat visible. I am now thinking if i should somehow manage for 1080p.
(Although way out of my budget)

Is 720p enough for playing blu ray rips in sizes of 4-10gb max or 1080p will make a lot of difference. For blurays it does but for rips would 720p suffice? Viewing distance 11ft-15ft

I was looking at epson tw-3600. Looks like a good model but was launched a few years back. So would it be right to buy it now?

Will take the benq demo on Monday.

Do keep me posted on Benq review. Do checkout both 770ST and 1070. It is always better to buy the latest technology product esp with projector tech taking significant upward steps.

I am/was in similar dilemma earlier but I chose to hold for 1080p rather than buying 720p.
