Projector Ceiling Mount and projector Screen

Hi All,

Can someone guide me where i can get projector ceiling mount for my Optoma HD 20 in Bangalore?

Also, Want some ideas on Projector Screen? Would white wall be good enough or I read about some special projector material paints and cloths? Someone with DIY on these stuff , can you pls throw some light and share your experiences here?

Very limited. I dont want to spend too much on this. However, i dont mind spendign where absolutely required.

I bought a ceiling mount for my Panasonic PJ and plan to now use it for my Optoma HD 20, from a place right at the beginning of SP Road( towards the town hall end), for about Rs 1200.The shop is on the first floor, just before the MX dealer.

In case you want a screen, I have something(low cost) that you may find of interest, just shoot me a PM, I will send you info.

Just go to the local market where electronics stuff is sold and ask around, you should easily get some good deals, in the same price range, maybe less!

As George mentioned, i also bought the projector mount from SP road for around 1000, but it it is not the same shop as George mentioned, just go down on sp road and i think it is 2nd right cross and do not remember the shop name, it is a very small shop, it is on ground floor. Not sure about the screen though. Ask around, people will guide you.

Google maps do not work in India . Even a google map between 2 cities will be most probably wrong. So how do you expect google to draw a map for SP Road the most congested road traffic in Bangalore.

Just kidding, what you can do is to speak to the people in around the sp road and get the details. You should be able to get to the right place with a couple of misses here and there..you need to have the patience to look around..infact i spent the whole day to locate a shop to who sells a 3.5" bracket to fit in my htpc for my slim blu-ray drive. But ultimately i got it :clapping:

I dont exactly remember the location, i think it is 2nd right cross when you walk down from the starting of sp road. You ask around, you could definitely find it. On the cross road it is on the left side and a very small shop, after may be around 6 or 7 shops..

For any mount like projector, TV and speaker, buy from the following source which makes them. You can easily find the shop in SP road bangalore. Recently I bought my mount from them. The mount is suitable to mount your projector both in ceiling as well as from wall. It costed me Rs.950/- extension 1+1feet.

For Celing Mount, there is a all in one celingin mount from the best brand Elite Screens, COntact surya system, i bought 1 for just 1500, but the best quality, also i bought elite screens DIY Screen, Superb in quality and i check about the screen brand, and its an international brand which i competing with the finest brand steward, also this DIY screen is of about just 7K and 1.1 gain with finest quality material, also bag, rope everything is included with screen. When i am comparing the quality with Grand view and other brands in India, none of the brand can compete in quality , i think the money should worth so don't go for cheap quality screens, better to stick on quality which i feel DIY from elite screens is superb.

My mount is also universal mount bought for Rs.950. Screen is from avvision hyderabad received through courier. Liberty quanto 10x10feet(4:3format) Rs13,200. I would really suggest some one to go for a fixed screen if space permits, then follow DIY. Fixed frame screen is best suited for cinema viewing. HDMI cable is 15meter bought from SP road for Rs.1200, so far good.
