I just purchased a subwoofer : Golden Ear subwoofer Forcefield 5:
hometheaterhifi.com
it's got a "
Now the problem is - that yesterday when I connected it to the extension board which is in turn connected to a in-wall plug which is merely an extension-type plug, it was working okay. Played well, hit hard etc.
Today - it was sparking - when I switched on the subwoofer.
So - I promptly switched everything off and disconnected the subwoofer.
Was wondering :
1. Perhaps its better to connect the sub - not through the extension Board - Belkin, but directly through to the IN WALL sockets.
2. Do I need a voltage sabilizer or any other protection mechanism for the Subwoofer? The subwoofer is a class D amplifier.
