Protection from dust

No matter how much i keep the door and windows closed, dust does creep and creates a visible layer. Especially when the outside road's tar is not that great, too much of dust gets up in air. Anyone else have this problem? I am thinking about getting air purifier. But, i am not sure whether it helps
