PS3 - Noise level and Heat

While running games on my PS3 SLIM 120GB, the noise level is high and also the unit gets heated up very quickly.

Even when the games are not running, I hear noise from the console.

When I say noise, it was not very loud. It is just some hissing or something running sound from the unit.

Is this normal?

Hi senthil

It is normal for a PS3 to produce a low hissing noise due to a fan inside PS3 which acts as a exhaust for heat dissipation. My advice is to incorporate a fan above your audio and video equipment exclusively for simmering the heat generated.
