Guys - I have been using Cooler Master 460W for my desktop for about 9-10 yrs. Recently, when I tried to connect additional hard-disk, it was not detected. However, after connecting with other SATA power connector, the hard-disk was detected.

My question: Can one SATA power connector go wrong? Is it possible?

Let me know is it the right time to replace CPU or can I ignore and use the other one. I don't want to take risk. Because of one minor fault, the other components should not go down in the future.

If it's 10 years old and not a platinum certified unit. It's time to change.

For your question: check if your psu is a single or multi rail unit(check the sticker on the unit)? For multi rail unit one of the rail can go bad. Or that particular sata connector is bad(bad solder joint, brittle plastic etc)
