Hi, if I buy Q Acoustics M20s from Amazon, would it be covered under warranty in India and can I receive after sales service without issues? Amazon page does mention 1 year warranty, would the warranty be honored?
Hi Overlord, I know this post is a few months old, but I'd like to add a point.
I got gifted a pair of Klipsch in December 2020, bought from Amazon. Enjoyed them for a couple of years, till they started acting up a couple of months ago.
I reached back to the friend who had gifted them, and they traced the Amazon invoice. But for the life of us, we couldn't trace the 'seller'. We were quite diligent, but Amazon kept saying contact seller, when we could just not locate even their name.
Ergo, there are quite a few fly-by-night operators on Amazon.
With issues being faced frequently these days, even after official purchase etc (including as above, it's not that the unit was replaced) just go with whoever gives you the best price/deal.
In Amazon currently the seller is Amazon itself so they will definitely honour the warranty & there's a 0 int emi as well.
I'd respectfully like to disagree with deep_ for the above reasons.
Better to find a brick-and-mortar, or at the least, a known Indian audio distributor or retailer.
Problem is the onus of honoring warranty is on the manufacturer/distributor.
I have 'heard' Cinebels denies warranty on Klipsch products when bought from Amazon. This is just based off a review so it might not be fully accurate.
Kindda makes sense. If Cinebels is the auth dealer in India, and we didn't buy from Cinebels, then how can Cinebels even intervene?
Genuine question, cos, when I wrote to Klipsch, they directed me to Cinebels, who in turn asked, who is your seller, and the circle just completed itself, cos, we just couldn't locate our seller.
I guess, even if the seller is "Amazon", there is no way Cinebels is gonna step in.
All not to say how these fellows act is right, but it always serves us to be in the know, and the how.
Whereas, driving a hard bargain with a hifimart/auth dealer might be too exhausting, but hey, at the end of the day, you know who to collar when things go south.
