Hi Guys,

I have never used a AMP or CD player with Valve. When i see the inside of ARcaM CD73 there are few Valve in it.. since i haven't used valve based equipments at all my question is do I need to replace the valve after certain amount of time ? if so are they expensive and how about the availability also do they generate lot of heat ? will they start immediately or should i have to wait until the valve is heated ? Also for 40K is it worth buying Arcam or should i just stick around with marantz CD6004 ?

Bala, Yep, the CD player does not have tubes/valves.

As far as tube/valve equipment, dont worry about replacing the tubes too much. You can use for a long time before requiring new ones.
Instead of a tube based cdp, why dont you look at a tube based dac like the ones from MHDT?
