Is this a pure HDD thingie or a laptop dock. A colleague just showed me a local 300 rupees adapter - it had two IDE ports, a SATA connector and a USB in a nifty smaller than your palm package.
Thought "docks" were brand specific (anyone please correct me)?
Once had a docking station by Dell that did not support a friend's Compaq.
However, recently tried a USB Hub by Toshiba with various connectivity options (TV/Monitor (in/Out), USB 2.0 ports, Eternet, Firewire etc.). Didn't interest me as it lacked Wi-Fi.
