Greetings Dear Friends,

Here is what I have MacBook Pro mid 2012 with Mavericks. I have altec lansing vs4121blk hooked up through the headphone jack. I am planning to get 5.1 speakers or the best in 2.1 (add to the existing speakers to make it 4.2 with the help of splitter).
I do not have a sound card for 5.1, I could not also find anything useful for my MacBook Pro. I know that it supports multichannel output.

Now my questions are:
Is there a sound card for Mac?
Which would be the best 5.1 speakers for me? Budget within 10,000K
My daily usage - 80% Movies and 20% Songs Games - naan I am not a gaming greek LOL
Do I need a sound card to drive speakers like F&D F3000U/6000U Home Audio Speaker or any other?
I recently happen to see Edifier S730D (flipkart and rest out of stock) man it looks awesome and so is C3 and C2 plus. I love bass and want a theatre effect (hope I am not asking for too much)

I live in Bangalore please requesting your expertise advice on the above. Also, please suggest the best either in 5.1 or 2.1 :)

Thanks - SK Aravindakshan
