Hi...

Any Airtel HD box users facing volume too low problem in HD channels..

in all HD channels volume is too low and have to set minimum to 50 odd to haer....also in HD my AV (Yam RX 450) doesnt showup 5.1 channel sound...

any settings / tweaks....pls help....

Through HDMI, Airtel HD sends downmixed 2.1 sound only (for 5.1) so the volume is only 2/5th of the non-HD channels which hae 2.1 by default.

This is for enabling people who connect directly connect HDMI to TV to hear 2.1 sound. Ideally there should be a setting but there is none. So no 5.1 through HDMI.

If you connect through optical out, you will get 5.1 with full volume. That is the only way to get 5.1.

If your receiver does not have optical , you are left in the wild.
