Replacement for vintage pot

Hi guys,

This is a volume potentiometer in my friend's amplifier

Where would one like this be available or which modern potentiometer can be used as a replacement?

Looks like a Dual value LOG 5K+17K ganged potentiometer... never new anything like that are even made.

Never saw different value pot. What does this control ?

You can buy separate '"Same mechanical design" Dual 5k and 17K volume pot and change the back panel of one with other. You just have to open the metal case locks.

l had Kenwood amp which was having mic level on volume pot.So may be similar use.

ahhh. OK. The original pic I see Headphone Socket too, where probably (Not sure) wires are going to them. May be SDK will tell about control. Looks interesting.

I have not got my hands on this unit yet

These were pictures sent to me

A dealer said that they were Phillips or Karpo make, no longer available

His advice was to replace with B22K
