Request for Service Support – Metrum Jade DAC Stuck in Mute Mode

Dear Friends,

I am experiencing an issue with my Metrum Jade DAC, which I purchased as a used unit a couple of months ago. The problem started about a week back, and the current condition is as follows:

• The DAC powers ON normally.
• The remote control is not working (I have checked the battery and IR signal – both are fine).
• The DAC always remains in Mute mode and no audio output is heard.
• Input switching from the front panel works correctly.
• When I connect a source to Coax or AES, the DAC recognizes the input properly.

However, despite all this, the DAC remains muted at all times and there is no audio output.

Kindly help me with guidance on how to get this DAC serviced.

I have a Metrum MK2, I recently sent it to Amsterdam to the original manufacturer to service and convert the power from 110v to 230v. I can share the service contact name, they were super helpful and very professional. The cost of service was also reasonable. However shipping it through courier and packaging was a bit ordeal and it costed more than the actual service costs. As far as I know there is no authorised service for Metrum products in India. They used to have something in BLR pre Covid but that’s closed now
