Hugh Masekela - Stimela..The coal train (1993)

This is an amazing cd , With tracks sung by Dr.Yesudas , Dr.Balamurali Krishna and SP Balasubramaniam.
Swathi Thirunal was a real prodigy with over 400 compositions in his short life of 33 years. The movie and the soundtrack does justice to his works

Steely Dan - Aja

I have an old pressing and it sounds OKish. There are MQA versions of it available now. Might try that for comparison...

Googled this out about this iconic album art:

“Before his days on Saturday Night Live, Phil Hartman was a budding freelance graphic designer who designed album covers for Crosby, Stills and Nash, America and Poco. He was commissioned by Steely Dan’s management company to design the album cover. Hideki Fujii took the photography and featured Japanese model Sayoko Yamaguchi.

The simple-yet heavy use of black allows for the woman’s face, red and white ribbon and her dress and the title to stand out. The less-is-more design was in stark contrast to the highly detailed music featured on the album”

On the lighter side (the cover is all dark though), he could have taken any woman if he was going to crop the face pic... why pay so much to a professional model? :p

A few pics of the late Ms Yamaguchi - Japan’s first supermodel:
