I have a CD palyer Cary Audio CD 303
(I guess 303-100 ). It has CD drive mechanism CDM 12. Its CD tray is not coming out quickly ( sometimes just does not come out despite repeated attempt to eject ) , so I am told to replace the rubber belt.
Can anyone suggest good source to buy good quality rubber belt for this CD drive ? Or by chance can anyone suggest what size belt will fit CDM 12 drive?
Thanks

Appears as though you had this same issue in the past... about seven years ago.

Sorry for my late attention to my own thread , and therefore late reply.
I got a replacement motor for the drive of compartment tray. I got it from AliExpress, very reasonable price. Still the old belt was slipping. I got bunch of assorted belts from AliExpress, but none fitted. Then got a replacement belt for CDM 12 drive from eBay from a seller based in Singapore, charged USD 15 plus shipping for just one belt, but when I installed it , it fitted just right . Now the tray is moving in-out smoothly without any problem. So finally the problem is solved, I am happy to enjoy the CD player again.
And you are right , flat_listener, I did have same problem in past few years ago.
I think it would not be bad Idea to keep spare belt, gear, motor in spare for future replacement, as total cost of one set may be around RS 1200 . I noticed that spares for CD players are becoming difficult to find.

Thanks all FMs for help.

I remember that in my PC when I faced the same problem, I replaced the DVD drive's rubber belt with household rubberband. It surprisingly worked and even more surprisingly is still working even after many years.
